Matteo Arpe, graduated with honors in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, is the founder of the Sator Group, the main shareholder, Chairman, and CEO of Sator S.p.A. Arpe is the CEO of Tinaba S.p.A., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arepo Pv S.p.A. and Arepo LC S.p.A., Board Member of Centro Europa Ricerche S.r.l. and Board Member of Studio Editoriale S.r.l. From July 2003 to May 2007, he was the CEO of the Capitalia banking group. Matteo Arpe has worked for the Lehman Brothers Group, at Mediobanca, and has been a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Banca di Roma, Mediobanca, European Institute of Oncology (IEO), and Italian Banking Association (ABI), and a board member of Mediocredito Centrale, Banco di Sicilia, CNP Capitalia Vita, Cerba Foundation, Banca Profilo S.p.A., Arepo BP S.p.A. and Banzai S.p.A.
Sator is an independent group founded in 2007 in Milan, specialized in industrial investments with a medium to long-term horizon.
The group operates in Private Equity, Public Equity, and Real Estate with an investment philosophy across all sectors of a “corporate” and managerial nature, and with a strongly international orientation in terms of objectives, value creation, management, and stakeholders.
Sator, which also operates through offices in London, carries out investment activities through an English law operating company, Sator Capital Limited (SCL), which in 2008 received authorization from the Financial Services Authority (now Financial Conduct Authority) to provide services.
