Alessandra Ricci is the CEO of SACE. A manager with extensive experience in international corporate finance, she holds a degree in Economics and Commerce from LUISS University. She was born in Rome in 1969 and began her career at Mediocredito Centrale, where she dealt with project financing at an international level. In 2005, she moved to SACE: her contribution to the relaunch and development of the company was such that within a few years she reached the role of Chief Business Officer and Chief Marketing & Underwriting Officer. In 2017, she was appointed to lead the subsidiary SIMEST. Three years later, she returned to SACE with the role of Head of the Italy Guarantee Program and Green New Deal. In May 2022, she was appointed CEO of the Group.
SACE is an Italian insurance and financial company controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, specialized in supporting businesses and the national economic fabric through a wide range of tools and solutions.
It supports the banking system to facilitate companies' access to credit, with a role strengthened by the extraordinary measures provided by the Liquidity Decree and the Simplifications Decree. With a portfolio of insured operations and guaranteed investments amounting to 165 billion euros, SACE supports over 25,000 companies, mainly SMEs, fostering their growth in Italy and in about 200 foreign markets.
It has a large number of offices in Italy, most of them in Lombardy. By virtue of its support for companies in foreign markets, it operates in nearly 200 countries and has several offices in major international markets (Accra, Mexico City, Dubai, Hong Kong, Cairo, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Moscow, Mumbai, Nairobi, São Paulo, and Shanghai).
