Biography

Sergio Albarelli, CEO and General Manager of Azimut Holding from October 2016 to December 2018, is a key figure in the asset management world in Italy, having gained over 25 years of experience in the sector. After contributing to the development of Deutsche Asset Management in Italy, Sergio Albarelli joined Franklin Templeton in 2000 as head of the Italian office, a responsibility he later expanded to include other geographies – Spain (2005), France (2008), and Benelux (2010). His significant role in financial services, particularly in the asset management industry, is also reflected in the important institutional and associative positions he has held (Vice President of Assogestioni, Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, participation in the Corporate Governance Committee of Borsa Italiana). Albarelli graduated in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan.
