Born in Rome in 1961, in 2016 Marco Morelli was appointed CEO of Monte dei Paschi di Siena. After graduating in Economics and Commerce, he became a certified public accountant in 1986. Since 2010, he has been Deputy General Manager and Deputy CEO of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Before joining the MPS Group, he was CEO and General Manager of JP Morgan Italy and a member of the Executive Committee of JP Morgan Europe. Previously, Marco Morelli had worked for UBS, Samuel Montagu, and KPMG in various European locations. He is a lecturer at LUISS in Rome. Married and father of 4 children, two boys and two girls. Passionate about sports.
