Gabriele Galateri di Genola was the Chairman of Generali from April 8, 2011, to May 2022. A graduate in Law, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. Appointed CEO of IFIL in 1986 and CEO and General Manager of IFI in 1993, he was subsequently elected CEO of Fiat in 2002. From 2003 to June 2007, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mediobanca. From 2003 to 2010, he was Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of Generali. From 2007 to 2011, Gabriele Galateri di Genola served as Chairman of Telecom Italia Spa, of which he was a board member until April 2014. Additionally, from April 26, 2003, to April 24, 2010, he was a Director and Vice Chairman of Assicurazioni Generali.
