Biography

Born in Rome in 1963, he graduated in Economics and Commerce from Luiss and attended the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme. Luca Valerio Camerano is the Managing Director of Algebris Investments, where he leads a new Business Unit for energy and environmental transition. He previously held the position of CEO and General Manager of A2A, Vice President of Elettricità Futura, and a member of the Executive Committee of Utilitalia. He was the CEO of GDF SUEZ Energie and, within the Enel Group, General Manager of the subsidiary Enel Gas and Head of the Gas/Electricity Business and Microbusiness Area and the Residential Gas Business Area. Previously, Luca Valerio Camerano was the General Manager of Camuzzi and CEO of Plenia. Before the utility sector, he worked in corporate and investment banking at Citigroup.
