Born in Milan in 1969, Elena Goitini graduated in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan and enriched her academic background with Management Diplomas from INSEAD Paris, IMD Lausanne, and SDA Bocconi. She is an internationally certified coach (ICF) and graduated from the Holden School in Turin.
In 1993, she began her career at PWC, then moved to the Unicredit Group where she held various positions in Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey, and Poland. In 2005, she took on the responsibility of Head of CEE Retail & Private Banking. She returned to Italy in 2013 where she held executive positions within the commercial bank, first in Bologna and then in 2016 in Naples as Regional Director for Southern Italy.
In 2019, Elena Goitini joined BNL as Head of the Private Banking and Wealth Management Division. She is a member of the G100 of the BNP Paribas Group, the EXCO WM of BNP Paribas, and the Management Committee of BNL. Since April 28, 2021, she has been the CEO of BNL and BNP Paribas' Head for Italy and a member of the Executive Committee of BNP Paribas. Since June 2021, she has been a member of the Board and the Executive Committee of ABI. Since October 19, 2022, she has been a member of IIT - Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa. Since November 23, 2022, she has been a member of the Comex of the BNP Paribas Foundation. Since June 22, 2023, she has been a member of the Assonime Board. Since July 5, 2023, she has been a member of the ABI Presidency Committee. From October 13, 2023 (to October 13, 2024), she is the rotating President of the ELIS consortium of companies. Since December 2023, she has been a member of the COMI - COMMITTEE of MARKET OPERATORS and INVESTORS (CONSOB).
