President of Anima Holding and Anima Sgr from 2014 to 2018, Claudio Bombonato was born in Reggio Emilia in 1946. After obtaining a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, he began his professional experience at Fiat and IBM. In 1981, he joined McKinsey, where he became Senior Director of the Italian office and responsible for the retail banking sector in Europe. From 2006 to 2010, he was at Morgan Stanley as Senior Advisor for the European region – Financial institution. Since 2008, Claudio Bombonato has been an Executive Director of Reply and from 2008 to 2013 he was a board member and President of Credito Fondiario. He is a board member of Whysol Investments I.
