Alessandro Melzi d’Eril, 45 years old, has been working in the ANIMA Group since January 2011, after serving as Investment Director at Clessidra, one of the leading private equity funds in Italy, from 2004 to 2011. It was at Clessidra that in 2009 he participated in the launch, with the acquisition of the then Prima SGR from the Banca Monte Paschi di Siena Group, of the project aimed at giving rise to the current ANIMA, which has grown over the years through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth, becoming the leading independent asset management group in Italy. In ANIMA Holding, Melzi d’Eril served as CFO until 2017, the year he was appointed General Manager of the company.
Mediobanca is an Italian credit institution founded in 1946 by Raffaele Mattioli (then President of the Banca Commerciale Italiana, which promoted it together with Credito Italiano) and Enrico Cuccia (who was the General Director from its foundation until 1982).
In 2008, with the launch of "CheBanca!", the bank's retail banking operations were expanded, creating a multichannel distribution model (internet, call center, branches) capable of ensuring significant collection flows. It has numerous investments and shareholders. Since January 2019, a Consultation Agreement has been in effect, bringing together about 20% of shareholders and not imposing any lock-up or voting restrictions on the contributed shares.
Today, it is present in international markets with offices in Milan, Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, London, New York, and Luxembourg. The company is listed on the FTSE MIB index of the Milan Stock Exchange and is a component of the Standard Ethics Italian Banks Index.
