Generali (commonly known as the Generali Group) is an Italian insurance company founded in Trieste in 1831. It is the largest Italian company and the third largest in Europe by revenue in the insurance sector, after Allianz and AXA. Its main markets are Western Europe, North America, and the Far East. The group operates in 50 countries with over 400 companies.

The headquarters of the Generali group is located in Trieste, while the management for Italy is based in Mogliano Veneto.

The company is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and is part of the FTSE MIB index of the same exchange.
