Biography

Oscar Farinetti, born on September 24, 1954, in Alba (CN), after graduating from classical high school, enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at the University of Turin. In 1976, he decided to abandon his university studies to dedicate himself to the entrepreneurial activity related to UniEuro, the company founded by his father in the late 1960s. Starting in 1978, he became a member of the board of directors at UniEuro, then CEO, and finally president, a position he held until 2003, when he decided to sell the company to the public company Dixons Retail based in Hemel Hempstead (United Kingdom). In 2004, he embarked on a new entrepreneurial adventure, founding the high-quality food distribution chain Eataly.
