Born in Farigliano, a small town in the province of Cuneo, he moved to Brussels in 1975 where he began his studies at the European school. After a stint in the United States to study marketing, he returned to Italy to manage the family business. Giovanni Ferrero has a strong passion for literature and has published 5 books.
Ferrero is an Italian multinational company based in Luxembourg specializing in confectionery products. It was founded by Giuseppe Ferrero along with his brother Pietro Ferrero and his wife Piera Cillario in 1946 in Alba (Cuneo).
Other Italian facilities are located in Pozzuolo Martesana, Balvano, and Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi. The group is structured through a series of international companies and subholdings all referring to Ferrero International SA, the group's general holding.
