Eataly

Eataly is a chain of medium and large retail outlets specializing in the sale and distribution of Italian food products.

It was founded in 2004 by Oscar Farinetti, who was previously the owner of Unieuro.

The company is 40% controlled by Farinetti, 40% by some cooperatives of the Coop system (Coop Liguria and Coop Alleanza 3.0), and 20% by the investment fund Tamburi Investment Partners.

In 2022, Oscar Farinetti's control over Eataly with Eatinvest passes for 200 million euros to InvestIndustrial of Andrea Bonomi, who will then hold 52% of the company.

It has retail outlets and restaurants spread all over the world, particularly in Italy and the USA.
