Martin Brandenburger has been CEO of Lidl Italy since March 2026. He began his career at Lidl in 2017. Over the past 18 years, he has held strategic positions of increasing responsibility in various European countries, including Croatia, Switzerland, Italy, and Malta. From 2021 until his appointment in Italy, Brandenburger served as CEO of Lidl Greece and Lidl Cyprus.
Lidl is a German discount supermarket chain, part of the Schwarz Group. As of 2024, it had over 12,000 stores worldwide.
