Valentina Bosetti, born on April 25, 1973, holds a degree in environmental sciences, has a master's in economics, and teaches Environmental Economics and Climate Change at Bocconi University. She is a senior scientist at the European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE). Valentina Bosetti collaborated with the Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation from 2003 to 2018. She was a visiting fellow at the Princeton Environmental Institute in 2009/2010 and at Stanford in 2014/2015. She is one of the lead authors of the IPCC and has served as president of the Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economics and as a council member of the European one. She has conducted research for the Grant on Innovation and Clean Technologies (ICARUS) and is working on the Starting Grant on Uncertainty and Climate Change (RISICO), with a specific focus on the perception of climate change and related policies. From May 2020 to May 2023, she was the President of Terna.
