Born in Merano (BZ) in 1967, Roberto Tomasi graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Padua. He specializes in management by successfully completing several courses and master's programs, such as the Executive Program at Harvard Business School Finance and Project Control at SDA Bocconi in Milan. After his initial work experiences in the technical field (Army and FIAT AVIO), in 1996 he began his journey at Enel as Director of the Business Units of electricity production plants in Liguria. Shortly after, he became Head of the Combined Cycle Area, and then held the same role in the Large Thermal Projects. In 2007, he was appointed Executive Vice President of the Engineering Business Unit. His last position, in 2015, was as Head of Coal Generation, which he left following his appointment as Co-General Director of Autostrade per l'Italia (ASPI), becoming a member of the Board of Directors of both the company and some subsidiaries of the Group. After a year as General Director, in February 2019 he took on the role of CEO with the aim of leading the new transformation plan. Married and father of two girls, he is passionate about sailing and ski mountaineering.
