Matteo Tiraboschi, born in Bergamo in 1967, has been the Executive Chairman of the Brembo Group since December 2021. From 2011 to 2021, he served as Executive Vice Chairman, and since 2002, the year he joined the company as Chairman of a subsidiary, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Brembo S.p.A. At Brembo, he has held positions of increasing responsibility at the international level as Director of Foreign Companies and Group CFO and Investor Relator. After graduating in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bergamo and, since 1995, being registered with the Order of Chartered Accountants of Bergamo and the Register of Legal Auditors, he began his professional career at the Milan office of one of the leading accounting firms, staying there for about four years. Subsequently, he practiced as a Chartered Accountant for a decade, focusing particularly on restructuring distressed companies, bankruptcy procedures, tax and corporate matters, also holding positions as a Board Member and Auditor in various industrial companies. He has served as a Board Member in two Italian SPACs and, since January 2017, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Politecnico di Milano.
Brembo is an Italian company that is a leader in the development and production of braking systems for vehicles. Founded in 1961 in Sombreno, a district of Paladina, a few kilometers from Bergamo, as a small family workshop, the company quickly distinguished itself through collaborations with important clients including Pirelli, Alfa Romeo, Philco, Guzzi, and Ferrari. In the 1980s, it experienced a period of significant technological development, and in 1995 it was listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
