Sergio Solero

Sergio Solero has been President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Italia S.p.A. since July 2026, returning to lead the Italian subsidiary of the BMW Group with the aim of consolidating the company’s growth and addressing the challenges linked to the evolution of mobility, electrification and the digital transformation of the automotive sector.

A graduate in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Solero has built his career within the BMW Group, where he has worked for more than 29 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, network development and international commercial management.

He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Italia from 2014 to 2019. He then took on international roles within the BMW Group headquarters, including Vice President Sales Steering and Marketing Aftersales and Customer Support and Vice President Retail Development, before becoming President and CEO of BMW Switzerland.

With his return to the leadership of BMW Italia, Solero brings extensive international experience gained within the group, together with deep knowledge of the Italian automotive market.
