Benedetto Vigna, born in 1969, is an Italian physicist and business executive. He graduated in Subnuclear Physics from the University of Pisa in 1993, and in 1995 he began working for STMicroelectronics, launching the company's commitment to MEMS. Since 2016, he has been the Head of the Analog, MEMS, and Sensors Group at STMicroelectronics. Vigna holds over 200 patents in micro-machining, is the author of numerous publications in this field, and is part of the governing boards of several programs funded by the European Union, as well as the boards of research centers in Asia and America recognized worldwide. On June 9, 2021, he was announced as the CEO of Ferrari, a position he will officially take on September 1, 2021.
