Biography

Marco Patuano has been the Global CEO of Cellnex Telecom since June 2023, a Group of which he was already President for 2 years. Born in Alessandria on June 6, 1964, he graduated in 1990 in Business Administration and obtained a Master's in Finance from Bocconi University in Milan, later completing his studies in Europe and the United States.

After his studies, he joined the then SIP (Italian Company for Telephone Operations) in the financial area of the group. In 1995, Marco Patuano took on an active role as financial manager in the creation of the start-up TIM and its subsequent establishment in Latin American markets. As CFO, in 2003, he held the position in both Tim Brasil and Telecom America Latina. From 2006, he became General Manager of Telecom Italia Latam and joined the Board of Directors of all Telecom companies in Latin America. Additionally, he became a board member for Telecom Argentina, where in 2006 he became Director for the fixed-line sector and then General Director in 2007 and 2008.

In 2008, he took on the role of CFO for the entire Telecom Italia Group, and the following year, he moved to lead the domestic market of the company, serving as CEO from 2011 to 2016. In October 2016, he left the company after 26 years and was appointed CEO of Edizione, a position he held for three years. In 2017, he joined the Board of Directors of AC Milan, maintaining the position until 2022. In 2018, he founded MP Invest and finally, between 2019 and 2023, he was President of A2A.
