Born in Turin in 1968, Roberto Giacchi graduated in Economics from La Sapienza University in Rome. His career began at KPMG in 1994. In 1998, he joined the TIM group and oversaw M&A activities for the group's international development in Latin America and Europe. In 1999, he joined Bain & Company where he managed strategic, commercial, and financial projects, particularly for the Telecom, Internet & Technology sectors, becoming a Partner in 2005. In 2007, Roberto Giacchi was appointed CEO of PosteMobile and led the company from its foundation through the entire start-up phase until its market establishment. In 2014, he moved to Poste Italiane and took responsibility for the Post, Communication, and Logistics business unit, contributing to the success of the group's IPO in 2015. Subsequently, in 2016, he took responsibility for all products of the Poste Italiane Group, the Business Market, and the Public Administration. In 2017, he became Group Chief Financial Officer of Poste Italiane and a member of the Board of Directors of PosteVita, roles he held until August and September 2018, respectively. In December 2018, he became CEO of ItaliaOnline. He is married and has two children.
