Marco Ferrero holds a degree in Physics and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He began his career at Bain & Company in 1997. In 2007, he joined Vodafone, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, becoming Regional Vice President in 2011. In 2014, he moved to CartaSi as Sales Director for Italy. He joined Nexi in 2017, taking on the roles of Chief Country Officer and Executive Board Director for the Italian market in 2022. On 15 October 2026, he was appointed CEO of Edenred Italia, a company specialising in employee benefits and meal voucher solutions.
