Biography

Born in Legnano (MI) in 1962, graduated in Political Economy in Genoa. Luigi Ferraris began his career in the auditing sector at PriceWaterhouse in 1988. Since 1990, he has held various managerial positions in companies such as Agusta, Piaggio VE, Sasib Beverage, and Elsag Bailey Process Automation. Between 1998 and 1999, Luigi Ferraris took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Elsacom, part of the Finmeccanica Group. In 1999, he joined the Enel Group where, with increasing responsibilities, he served as CFO of the Group from 2009 to 2014. Since February 2015, he has been part of the Poste Italiane Group and, as CFO, he led its stock market listing. From 2017 to 2020, Luigi Ferraris was the CEO and General Manager of Terna. From June 2021 to June 2024, he was the CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato and from July 2024 to January 2025, he will be the CEO of FiberCop.
