Gianpiero Strisciuglio, engineer, former CEO of Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (May 2023-March 2025), has been the CEO of Trenitalia since March 2025. Since April 2022, he has been the CEO and General Manager of Mercitalia Logistics, the leading company in the Logistics sector of Ferrovie dello Stato. In FS since 2002, Strisciuglio has served as Commercial Director and Network Operations Director at RFI and Director of High Speed at Trenitalia, before taking on the role of Director of Strategy, Industrial Planning, Innovation & Sustainability at Mercitalia.
