After graduating in Law from the University of Milan and earning a Master's degree in Civil and Commercial Law, Monica Iacono began her professional career in the telecommunications industry, first at A&T and then at Infostrada.
In 2001, she joined the ENGIE Group, taking on roles of increasing responsibility in managing the entire energy and services supply chain, particularly in sales, marketing, communications, and operations, eventually being appointed Director of Energy & Home Services Retail for Italy.
In 2020, she also took over responsibility for the IT & Digital department, boosting the Group's digital transformation in Italy.
Since September 1, 2021, Iacono has been CEO and Country Manager of ENGIE Italia, as well as leading the Energy Solutions Global Business Unit in the country, with the aim of helping accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy through the Group's multiple activities in Italy.
In July 2022, in addition to his role as CEO and Managing Director of Energy Solutions in Italy, she also took on the role of President of ENGIE Italia.
ENGIE, formerly known as GDF Suez, is a French multinational company active in the production and distribution of natural gas, renewable energy, and services.
