Marco Mizzau was born in Rome on December 27, 1977. After graduating from the classical high school at the San Giuseppe De Merode College in Rome, he obtained a degree in Economics and Commerce with a specialization in Administration, Finance, and Control from Luiss Guido Carli in Rome at the age of 22.
He began his professional experience in 1999 at Kpmg Consulting as a Financial Analyst. From 2000 to 2004, he worked at the Holding of Ferrovie dello Stato. Subsequently, he embarked on a professional path as an Executive in management consulting - from 2004 to 2006 - at Ernst Young Financial Business Advisor, focusing on strategic and organizational consulting to support Italian and European companies and institutions, mainly in the Public Administration and Transport sectors. From 2006 to 2012, Marco Mizzau was at Accenture, responsible for finance consulting projects supporting CEOs and CFOs of Italian and foreign corporate groups, mainly in the Energy & Utilities sector.
In 2012, he worked at the Campus Bio-Medico, where until 2019 he held the position of Chief Operating Officer, and starting from 2019, he took on the role of General Director of InarCassa. Since June 2023, he has been the CEO of Consip S.p.A., a position he will hold until April 2024.
Consip is the purchasing center of the Italian Public Administration. It is a joint-stock company whose sole shareholder is the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance.
