Cristiano Cannarsa, born in Rome in 1963, graduated with honors in 1986 in Mechanical Engineering from the University La Sapienza of Rome. He began his career at Aeritalia S.p.A. (Finmeccanica) and, in 1991, joined the Istituto Mobiliare Italiano S.p.A.
In 2007, he became the Director of Management at Cassa depositi e prestiti and, from April 2008 to April 2011, served as a Board Member of Terna. In 2011, he was appointed first Sole Administrator, then Chief Executive Officer, and finally President and Chief Executive Officer of Sogei S.p.A. In June 2017, Cristiano Cannarsa became the Chief Executive Officer of Consip S.p.A, a position he left in June 2023, when he returned to lead Sogei in the role of CEO.
Sogei (General Company of Informatics S.p.A.) is a public company operating in the IT sector. The entity is wholly controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and provides ICT consulting services for various public administration bodies.
