Aurelio De Laurentiis was born in Rome in 1949. Son of Luigi and nephew of Dino De Laurentiis, both historic film producers, he continues the family legacy by producing and/or distributing over 400 films and serving, from 1993 to 2003, as President of the World Federation of Film Producers. Since 1997, he has been a shareholder and board member of Cinecittà Studios as well as a board member of Cinecittà Entertainment, of which he became a shareholder in 2007. Since 2008, he has also been one of the reference shareholders of Italian Entertainment Group SpA. He is also a member of the Confindustria Executive Committee.
Since 2004, Aurelio De Laurentiis has also been involved in sports following the acquisition of the SSC Napoli team, of which he became President.
Married to Jacqueline Baudit, he has three children: Luigi (a producer like his father and President of Bari), Valentina, and Edoardo (Vice President of Napoli).
