Vincenzo Carbone, born in 1963, was appointed in December 2024 as the director of the Revenue Agency, an entity where he held the position of deputy director since October of the same year.
A graduate in law and qualified to practice as a lawyer, Vincenzo Carbone began his career within the Financial Administration in 1990, subsequently holding various managerial positions in the Revenue Agency. In 2020, he took on his first top position as the central director of Major Taxpayers and International Affairs. In 2022, he was assigned the functions of head of the Additional Taxpayers Division, and the following year, a new leadership role for coordinating activities aimed at implementing the Tax Reform. At the beginning of 2024, he finally assumed the role of deputy head of the Taxpayers Division of the Agency.
The Revenue Agency is a tax agency of the Italian Public Administration established in 1999 that depends on the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The agency performs functions of assessment, tax control, and management of taxes.
