Biography

Born in Rome on June 8, 1967, Simona Agnes graduated in Law from the LUISS "Guido Carli" University in Rome. She began her career at Piaggio & C. S.p.A. She then moved to Telecom Italia S.p.A., where she gained experience as a Product Manager in the Private Customer Marketing area of the General Management, Quality Manager within the Territorial Directorate of Campania, Basilicata, and Puglia, and was responsible for Customer Retention in the General Directorate of Residential Customer Care.

She established the Biagio Agnes Foundation in memory of her father, former General Director of RAI, promoting initiatives in journalism, scientific information, tourism, and the enhancement of the territory. She organizes and promotes the "Biagio Agnes Award," an International Prize for Journalism, Information, and Communication. She established the "Tourism and Culture" Forum and created the medical-scientific dissemination Forum "A Check-up for Italy."

In July 2021, Simona Agnes was elected by the Chamber of Deputies as a member of the Board of Directors of RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A., and in November 2021, she took on the role of Board Member of the Italian Encyclopedia Institute founded by Giovanni Treccani S.p.A. Since March 2022, she has been a Board Member of Treccani Scuola S.p.A., in January 2023 she was appointed Board Member of the Telethon Foundation ETS, and in July 2023 she assumed the position of President of the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Music in Rome.

Finally, in October 2024, designated by the Council of Ministers at the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Simona Agnes was confirmed as a member of the Board of Directors of RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A.
