IBM Italy is the branch of the American company IBM, the oldest and one of the largest in the world in the IT sector. It produces and markets hardware, software for computers, middleware, and IT services, offering infrastructures, hosting services, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and consulting in the IT and strategic sectors.

In the 1980s, IBM Italy becomes a major player in the Italian IT market, employing over 12,500 people. In 1990, the company founded IBM SEMEA (Southern Europe, Middle East, and Africa), which takes responsibility for the company's activities in Italy and 40 other countries.

Throughout the 2000s, IBM Italy begins to downsize its operations in Italy, selling the Vimercate and Santa Palomba facilities. In 2016, the company announces a restructuring plan.
