Biography

Francesca Moriani has been CEO of Var Group since 2014.

Born on March 28, 1977, in Fucecchio (Florence), she is a former ski champion and the mother of two children. She graduated in Business Administration from the University of Pisa and earned an MBA in International Management from the University of Brighton.

In 2003, after several brief work experiences, Francesca worked as a Telesales Manager at IBM Dublin. Between 2004 and 2007, she held the role of Credit Manager at Computer Gross. She then led the ITF Information Technology Finance team, the service unit of Computer Gross Italia that manages financial solutions. Between 2007 and early 2014, she became Value Business Manager at Computer Gross, responsible for the entire IBM hardware, software, and services business. Since 2014, Francesca Moriani has been CEO of Var Group. As a female CEO of an IT company, she wants to make Var Group an open organization where responsibility is distributed, information is transparent, and bureaucracy is absent.

A longtime LinkedIn influencer and winner of the 2024 Microsoft Power Women Award, she published her first book, "Braveship," in 2025.
