03 February 2025
2025 starts strong on multiple fronts. There is a distant comparison between two opposing visions: that of Andrea Orcel (86.78), for the fifth consecutive month at the top of the Top Manager Reputation (www.topmanagers.it), and that of Carlo Messina (80.72), stable in third place. The CEO of Unicredit, prompted by the press regarding Messina's attack (“Intesa Sanpaolo is Italy”), accepts the challenge. Pier Silvio Berlusconi (81.81) defends his second place by strengthening control over Fininvest with Marina and exploring the European market for possible M&A of MFE. Gaining two positions Renato Mazzoncini (fourth with a score of 78.29), CEO of A2A, among the most positive stocks on the Milan Stock Exchange, thanks to the 1.2 billion acquisition of Lombard networks, and his role as anchor investor in the first 360Capital fund closing at 140 million. Closing the top 5 is Claudio Descalzi (78.22). In sixth place, Luca de Meo (77.90), increasingly a key figure in the European automotive industry, with the electric Renault 5 awarded “Car of The Year 2025.” In seventh is Giorgio Armani (77.75), followed by Brunello Cucinelli (77.55), Alessandro Benetton (76.43), who moves up one spot, and Urbano Cairo (76.26). Gaining ground (+2) to eleventh place is the CEO of Snam Stefano Venier (71.30), who welcomes the new BW Singapore regasification plant to Italy. Twelfth is Matteo Del Fante (71.14), followed by Cristina Scocchia (70.00) and Renzo Rosso (67.94). In fifteenth place, rising four spots is Marina Berlusconi (67.04), who bursts onto the media scene. +2 for Luca Dal Fabbro (66.57) of Iren, who pursues the re-industrialization of the country with the first European plant for recovering precious metals from electronic waste. Following are Stefano Donnarumma (66.18) and Pietro Labriola (63.85). Up five positions (19th) is Francesco Milleri (63.37) of EssilorLuxottica, who increases the stake in MPS and makes new acquisitions in the AI sector. Twentieth (+1) is Gian Maria Mossa (63.29), CEO of Banca Generali, who exceeds the 2024 estimates and successfully completes the takeover bid on Intermonte. In the Top 100, the following managers have grown: Miuccia Prada (22nd, +5); Luca Cordero di Montezemolo (24th, +6); Dario Scannapieco (35th, +11), Alessandro Araimo (56th, +12). Recovering is John Elkann, who joined the board of Meta (44th, +14).
