Unipol

Unipol Group is an Italian financial company founded in 1963, operating in the insurance and banking sectors. It is among the largest Italian companies by revenue.

The company's ordinary shares have been listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 1990 and are included in the FTSE MIB. The main shareholders of the Group are some companies representing the Italian cooperative movement. Unipol has about 12,000 employees and serves approximately 15.5 million customers. Carlo Cimbri is its chairman, while currently the holding does not have a chief executive officer.

It controls 85% of the insurance company UnipolSai and at a consolidated level (as of December 31, 2021), the Group has an insurance direct collection of 13.3 billion euros, of which 7.9 billion in Non-Life and 5.4 billion in Life.
