Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. is an Italian company that produces roasted coffee, founded in 1895 in Turin by Luigi Lavazza.
During the first post-war period, the company began a phase of growth thanks to a much more accurate blending process compared to its competitors. In those years, it started innovative advertising campaigns that were renewed for decades with great public success, making it one of the most well-known brands in Italy. Throughout the twentieth century, the company strengthened its presence in all coffee segments also through targeted acquisitions.
Today, the activities of Lavazza focus on three main areas: products for home consumption, products for out-of-home consumption, and coffee shops with the brands Espression and "Il Caffè di Roma." With the acquisition of the Eraclea brand, the company also distributes products not strictly related to coffee (tea, chocolate, various preparations).
Luigi Lavazza S.p.A. is present in over 90 countries, has more than 4,000 employees distributed across more than 20 locations and facilities in Italy and around the world.
