Hera

Hera (acronym for Holding Energy Resources Environment) is an Italian multi-utility company based in Bologna, founded in 2002 following the merger of 11 companies operating in the Emilia-Romagna public utility sector. It provides energy services (gas, electricity), water services (water supply, sewage, and purification), and environmental services (waste collection and disposal) to about 4 million citizens and operates in more than 260 municipalities.

Hera is a publicly controlled company as the shareholders' agreement among public entities holds the majority of the shares. It is among the largest Italian companies by revenue.

It is listed on the FTSE MIB index of the Milan Stock Exchange.
