ENAV (acronym for National Agency for Flight Assistance) is an Italian public company in the form of a joint-stock company, which operates as the exclusive provider of services for civil air navigation in the airspace under Italian jurisdiction. It provides air traffic control services, as well as flight information, aeronautical information, and meteorological observations and forecasts, limited to the issuance of meteorological bulletins related to airports and the airspace under its jurisdiction.
The company has its origins in the Autonomous Company for General Air Traffic Flight Assistance, established in 1981.
ENAV is controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (53.37% of the share capital) and is subject to the supervision of the National Agency for Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
It has been listed on the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index of the Milan Stock Exchange since July 2016.
