Banco BPM is an Italian banking group of cooperative origin, present throughout Italy (with the exception of South Tyrol), operating since January 2017 and characterized by a strong local presence, particularly in Lombardy (where it is the largest operator with a market share of 15%), in Veneto, and in Piedmont.
The group is the fourth largest Italian banking group after Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, and BPER Banca. It boasts a market share of 7% and assets of 189 billion euros with approximately 3.7 million customers. It has more than 1,500 branches and nearly 20,000 employees.
In addition to operating in Italy in all sectors of banking and financial activity, Banco BPM is also present in other European countries with subsidiaries and branches. In Asia, it is present through some representative offices.
The bank has been listed on the FTSE MIB index of the Milan Stock Exchange since 2017.
