Biography

Born in Naples in 1964, Giuseppe Recchi comes from a family of entrepreneurs from Turin. After graduating in Engineering, in 1989 he joined the family business: Recchi Costruzioni Generali. In 1994 he was appointed Executive Chairman of the US subsidiary Recchi America Inc. and CEO of the Ferrocemento-Recchi Group, for which he oversees activities abroad. In 1999 Giuseppe Recchi joined General Electric, where he became, in 2004, Sole Director of GE Capital Italy, thus returning to his homeland, backed by significant international experience. He subsequently held the position of CEO of GE South Europe until 2011. In 2014 Giuseppe Recchi was elected by the shareholders of Telecom Italia as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, taking on the role of Executive Chairman, a position he held until 2017. He was also appointed President of the Telecom Italia Foundation. In 2017 he took on the role of Vice President of the Group. Between 2004 and 2006, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Turin.
