Biography

Giovanni Lo Storto is the General Director of Luiss Guido Carli University. Born in the province of Foggia, he has received several awards during his career: among others, he is a Knight of the Order of Merit and an Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and has been awarded the Guido Carli Prize under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic. He graduated in Economics from Luiss, initially working at Bartolini as the branch's Chief Operating Officer and then at the Italian Reinsurance Union and Swiss Re. He began his academic career as an assistant, then as a contract professor at LUISS Guido Carli. He became Deputy Director of the University first and General Director in 2013. Currently, Giovanni Lo Storto is also Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of LA4G and is part of the Board of Directors of the magazines Internazionale and Formiche. He has been an independent Board Member of Pirelli & C. S.p.A. since May 2018, Co-founder of LuissEnlabs, and author of the book “Erostudente. The Desire to Set Sail,” published by Rubbettino in 2017.
