Biography

Federico Grom is the co-founder of the GROM ice cream chain, which currently has about 100 stores in more than 15 countries around the world, 1000 employees, and an aggregate revenue of over 50 million euros. In 2015, he personally oversaw the negotiation through which his company was sold to the multinational Unilever.

Brand

Grom is an ice cream production company founded in Turin in 2003 by Guido Martinetti and Federico Grom. The company opened its first store in Piazza Paleocapa in Turin in May of the founding year. Since then, the brand has spread to thirty-four Italian cities (with forty-five ice cream shops) and ten abroad (Dubai, Jakarta, Hollywood, Malibu, New York, Osaka, Paris, Nice, London, and Lisbon).

In 2009, the company achieved a turnover of 16 million euros. In 2011, revenues reached 23 million.

In October 2015, the company was sold to the multinational Unilever, while remaining autonomous and managed by the two founders.
