The Bracco Group is an Italian multinational company in the chemical and pharmaceutical sector founded in 1927 in Milan by Elio Bracco. In the 1970s, it developed the iopamidol molecule, a ready-to-use non-ionic contrast agent used in biomedical imaging, becoming over time one of the world's leading players in contrast agents for imaging diagnostics.

As of 2018, the group has a consolidated revenue of approximately 1.3 billion euros, of which 87% comes from foreign markets. It operates in 100 countries with more than 3,400 employees.

The Bracco Group holds nearly two thousand patents, 7 research and development centers, and 9 facilities worldwide. In 2021, it recorded revenues of 1.69 billion euros.

As of today, the President and CEO of the multinational is Diana Bracco, representing the third generation of the family.
