Italian Investment Fund (SGR) S.p.A. is an Italian asset management company, established in March 2010 at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and 55% owned by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, through Equity, with the remaining part held by some of the main Italian institutions and banks.
The company manages closed-end investment funds dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises to support their growth and development projects. A distinctive feature of the initiative has been, from the very beginning, the combination of economic return objectives and the development of the production system, through the use of market instruments.
SGR is 55% owned by the CDP Equity Group and the remaining part by some of the main Italian institutions and banks. Among these, the main ones are Intesa San Paolo (12.50%) and UniCredit (12.50%). To date, SGR manages thirteen closed-end investment funds, reserved for qualified investors, with a total of approximately 2.5 billion Euros in managed resources.
