CIR-Compagnie Industriali Riunite

CIR - Compagnie Industriali Riunite is an Italian holding company founded in Turin in 1976 by Carlo De Benedetti and listed on the MTA of the Milan Stock Exchange.

Until February 19, 2020, it was 46% controlled by COFIDE of the De Benedetti family. From that date, the merger by incorporation of CIR into Cofide and the name change of Cofide to Cir became operational.

CIR heads an industrial group mainly active in the automotive components and healthcare sectors. Until 2020, it was also active in the media and publishing sector, controlling the GEDI Editorial Group. That year, it sold its stake to Giano Holding. The group has over 14,000 employees.
